Bonding, insurance, & licensing

Amada’s staff is bonded and insured, giving you peace of mind. Amada verifies, updates, and maintains all necessary licenses and certifications for all home care staff.

Usually none. It's your responsibility to investigate any insurance or licensures held by these individuals and pay claims for any liability that comes from caregiver actions.

Quality control & supervision of home care staff

• All cases are carefully monitored and supervised by the Amada nursing staff and our management team.

• Random quality assurance visits made regularly.

• Family members kept informed on a regular basis and able to access web-based reports.

These individuals are completely independent and lack formal supervision. 

Continuing caregiver training

Amada provides caregiver training by nurses through our proprietary training program.

These individuals may or may not continue to build upon their knowledge and skills.

Payroll, taxes, and IRS

Amada assumes responsibility.

You are responsible for reporting and remitting state, federal, and FICA taxes to the proper tax authorities.

Criminal background checks

Amada staff is carefully screened at the time of hire with several layers of background checks. Approximately 70% of applicants do not meet our high standards.

It is your responsibility to check the background of the individual. A full background check can cost as much as $50-$100.

  

Workers' compensation and liability

All Amada staff is covered by workers' compensation insurance for accidents occurring on the job.

Private individuals can sue you if injured on the job.

Flexibility of home care services

Your home care service requirements will rarely stay the same.

• You aren't locked into scheduling a certain number of hours or days.

• If the skill level that you require increases or decreases, we can accommodate your needs.

Skills are fixed to the particular individual, and you pay for the skills they can perform rather than the skills you need. A change in desired skill level often means a change in staff.

Variable.

General availability

Amada can provide home care services to you and your family 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. Your caregiver is available on weekends and holidays.

1 person = limited days and hours. You are responsible for staff for sudden sickness, time off, emergencies, and vacations. Employment transitions mean that you start all over again.
